How to record a parent message and enable cry detection

1. Press and hold the microphone button. When you hear Recording, release the button and begin speaking.
2. Press and hold the microphone button again to finish. The device gives the Recording Over prompt.
3. Double-press AUTO to enable cry detection. The white indicator lights up; the manual identifies a double press as the on/off control.

The manual describes recorded messages along with lullabies after cry detection. It does not specify whether they mix, alternate or form selectable playback modes. Cry-triggered sound is not a baby monitor or a substitute for responding to a child.

Charging and battery life

Use a standard USB-C cable. CHICWAY states that a full charge takes about 2 hours; fast charging is not required.

CHICWAY states up to 5 days of battery life when playing only built-in white noise or lullabies, with the night light off and Bluetooth off. This maximum applies to those settings; it is not a runtime claim for Bluetooth or night-light use.

Before use

Follow the supplied manual: choose appropriate volume and sound settings, do not place the device directly on a baby's ears, and do not charge it near a child.

The device is not a toy or teether. Avoid use in or near water; stop using it if the casing is damaged or hot, and do not disassemble it. The manual directs parents to consult their child's pediatrician before use.
